Hi!
My multidisciplinary practice includes illustration, comics, animation, ceramics, and sewn objects, although visual art is currently my primary medium.
In my mixed media drawings, I like to combine elements of pop culture, pagan rituals, medievalism, traditional crafts, magical thinking, shapes and mechanisms of nature, and slice-of-life moments. I find surrealist painting, Neolithic sculpture, a quick notebook sketch, or a neighbor's cat equally inspiring. I enjoy playing with scale, collaging objects, blurring the boundaries between living and non-living things.
With my physical works such as ceramics and plush sculptures I aim to evoke nostalgia, a sense of familiarity, the desire to touch, hug, smell, or play. Whether it's the rough texture of clay or the soft, huggable feel of fabric, these pieces serve as emotional anchors: warm touches in a fleeting, cold world. They are tools to augment reality. By working across various media, I create a richer, more immersive experience for the audience.
